COMPANY PROFILE
Founded in 1984 as P.R. Emmerson (Industrial Door Specialists), by a small workforce bringing with them many years of experience in the door trade, the company then specialised in the repair and maintenance of most types of industrial door. This wealth of experience soon led to the company expanding to manufacturing its own doors.
In 1989 the company moved to its own purpose-built manufacturing and administrative headquarters at Sherburn-in-Elmet, near Leeds, where it has been better able to meet the growing demand for its products and services.
Over the last fifteen years, Emmerson Doors Limited has established a reputation for quality and service to its customers nationwide, and is supported by a management and technical team with some twenty-five years experience in the industrial door trade.
The success of the business and increased expansion have been achieved through the company’s inherent business philosophy of putting the needs of its customers first. Quality products, supported by first class service, installation and repair facilities, and coupled with professional management, sales and administration teams have led to the satisfied and ever expanding customer base the company currently enjoys. Emmerson Doors is pleased to consider many local authorities, government bodies, major building contractors and national retailers as regular customers, as well as being able to cater for the small business and private individual.
Emmerson Doors is a responsible and caring company, which places great importance on fulfilling its obligations as a manufacturer and supplier, as well as its responsibilities as an employer, with regard to Health and Safety at work. To achieve this the company continually reviews its methods and practices of work and provides the necessary training and equipment to ensure that a safe working environment is maintained at all times, both at its own premises and whilst working on customer’s premises.
This attitude to health and safety along with constant research and development into new products, carried out by the company’s own personnel and within its own premises, ensures that future market requirements will be met.
